Meet Dr. Gauthier, a chiropractor who treated a retired veteran for chronic lower back pain and greatly improved his mobility to the point where his patient was able to start woodworking again.
“A 73 year old Canadian Armed Forces veteran, was referred to my clinic with chronic low back pain. He also indicated that he had chronic pain in his left knee and hip, and his right shoulder, symptoms that developed from long hours spent in a military helicopter. He mentioned that most of his daily activities such as walking, going up and down stairs, and lifting objects with his right arm were affected by this pain. Ten years ago he had to stop woodworking, his favourite hobby.
After eight chiropractic sessions, he reported that his back pain and other issues improved so much he was able to go for 30 minute walks with his wife and had started woodworking projects again. Besides feeling improvement in terms of his spine and muscle health, he reported a better outlook on life.
In the past year, his condition has continued to improve. He is now able to walk three kilometers five times per week and has completed some very nice woodworking projects.”
