C\u2019est \u00e0 la fois un exercice d\u2019\u00e9tirement, de musculation et de m\u00e9diation qui att\u00e9nue le stress corporel et favorise la force, la souplesse et la d\u00e9tente. Par contre, saviez-vous que le yoga peut aussi aider \u00e0 soulager la douleur ?  <\/p>\n\n<p>Plusieurs \u00e9tudes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9es sur les effets du yoga sur la lombalgie et les douleurs chroniques.<sup class='footnote' id='fnref-73354-1'><a href='#fn-73354-1' rel='footnote'>1<\/a><\/sup> <sup class='footnote' id='fnref-73354-2'><a href='#fn-73354-2' rel='footnote'>2<\/a><\/sup> <sup class='footnote' id='fnref-73354-3'><a href='#fn-73354-3' rel='footnote'>3<\/a><\/sup> Chacune de ces \u00e9tudes a, \u00e0 divers degr\u00e9s, observ\u00e9 des bienfaits \u00e0 court et \u00e0 long terme. Elles ont conclu qu\u2019un volet de soins actifs, comme le yoga, peut am\u00e9liorer le traitement contre la douleur.<\/p>\n\n<p>On a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que le fait de jouer un r\u00f4le actif dans sa sant\u00e9 soulage la douleur plus efficacement. Dans le cas du yoga, les bienfaits proviennent de la combinaison de divers \u00e9l\u00e9ments : respiration contr\u00f4l\u00e9e, prise de conscience de son corps et de sa posture, m\u00e9ditation, musculation et souplesse. <\/p>\n\n<p>Des \u00e9tudes continuent d\u2019analyser les bienfaits d\u2019exercices pour le corps et l\u2019esprit comme le yoga. Il n\u2019y aurait aucune contre-indication \u00e0 pratiquer ce genre d\u2019exercice en compl\u00e9ment de votre programme de gestion de la douleur, \u00e0 condition de le faire de fa\u00e7on s\u00e9curitaire. <\/p>\n\n<p>En effet, il est important de prendre des pr\u00e9cautions avant de commencer tout nouvel exercice, surtout si vous avez des probl\u00e8mes cibl\u00e9s. Voici quelques conseils pour pratiquer le yoga en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9, que vous soyez novice ou chevronn\u00e9 <sup class='footnote' id='fnref-73354-3'><a href='#fn-73354-3' rel='footnote'>3<\/a><\/sup>: <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pr\u00e9cautions \u00e0 prendre pour le yoga<\/h2>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pratiquez avec un instructeur<\/strong> : Suivez des cours avec un instructeur qualifi\u00e9. Il ou elle saura adapter les mouvements \u00e0 la condition physique et \u00e0 la souplesse du groupe. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parlez :<\/strong> Si vous avez des blessures ou des pr\u00e9occupations, parlez-en avec votre instructeur avant le cours. Il ou elle pourra vous conseiller des modifications durant les exercices. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>N\u2019h\u00e9sitez pas \u00e0 arr\u00eater<\/strong> : Il peut arriver que les modifications propos\u00e9es ne vous conviennent pas. Arr\u00eatez tout exercice ou position qui aggrave la douleur. Vous reprendrez avec la position suivante. Le yoga ne devrait pas provoquer de douleur.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Consultez un expert<\/strong> : Si vous comptez faire du yoga \u00e0 la maison, travaillez d\u2019abord avec un instructeur. Vous devriez aussi consulter un professionnel de la sant\u00e9 qui conna\u00eet votre situation et peut vous conseiller les parties du corps \u00e0 \u00e9tirer et \u00e0 renforcer, ainsi que les exercices \u00e0 \u00e9viter. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>Le yoga ne constitue que l\u2019une des formes de traitement actif. Une combinaison de soins actifs (exercices, par exemple) et passifs (traitement prodigu\u00e9 par un professionnel de la sant\u00e9, par exemple) s\u2019av\u00e8re la mani\u00e8re la plus efficace de soulager la douleur. <\/p>\n\n<p>Plusieurs formes d\u2019activit\u00e9s entrent dans la cat\u00e9gorie des soins actifs.
