JCCA Special December Issue – Chiropractic Sports Issue

His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, has declared 2015 as the “Year of Sport” in Canada.

The 60+ international sport events being hosted in Canada include:
• 2015 World Junior Hockey Championships
• Canada Winter Games
• Ford Men’s World Curling Championships
• FIFA Women’s World Cup
• Toronto 2015 Pan and Parapan American Games

“The Year of Sport in Canada is a proactive pan-Canadian initiative to celebrate the role that sport plays in our country and encourage Canadians to participate in and seek the benefits of sport. During the year, sport events and other celebratory activities will highlight how sport benefits Canadians.”

The Year of Sport will promote Canada’s position as a leading sport nation and our very own Chiropractic Sports Specialists have showcased their growing expertise in sport which is clearly evident in the JCCA December Special Issue focused on Sports Chiropractic. There are 16 scholarly peer-reviewed papers. Just amazing!!!!!!

The Sports Specialty in Canada has very clearly risen to the forefront of the profession with a growing body of evidence and this reflects so well on our profession.

Congratulations to Dr. Mohsen Kazemi, Guest Editor and Dr. Chris deGraauw, President Royal College of Chiropractic Sport Sciences (Canada), and congratulations to the 50 authors who have made tremendous contributions to the Special Sports Issue.
