World Spine Day

#InvestInYourSpine

World Spine Day shines a spotlight on the importance of spinal health and the global burden of spinal pain and disability. Each year on October 16, people around the world come together to raise awareness of spine health, mobility, and prevention.

This year’s theme, Invest in Your Spine, encourages Canadians to dedicate time, energy, and attention to everyday habits that protect their spine – from posture and movement to professional care. Investing doesn’t only mean money, it means committing to small, daily actions that build strength, prevent injury, and keep you moving for life.

Why Invest in Your Spine?

  • Back pain affects 1 in 3 Canadians every year
  • Low back pain is the leading cause of disability worldwide, impacting more than 540 million people at any one time
  • Consistent movement and healthy spine habits can reduce pain, prevent disability, and protect long-term well-being

Join us in bringing attention to the global burden of spinal disorders by helping to highlight the challenges of living with low back pain in all regions, cultures, backgrounds, and ages. Keep an eye on our Facebook, or Instagram accounts throughout October for additional assets or visit worldspineday.org for more information.
